The Women’s World Cup 2024 will start from July 19 to July 28, 2024. Eight countries will play T20I matches in this tournament. Sri Lanka’s Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium will host the event. Women’s World Cup 2024 has special significance as it is going to celebrate its ninth anniversary in which women’s T20 will begin featuring the last eight countries. The four members of the ACC are the only full members of the ICC playing T20I’s; Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka and they have already qualified automatically. Commonwealth champions, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates were earlier named the other two sides having reached the 2024 ACC Ladies Premier Cup decider. However, in the latest announcement made by the World Cricket Council, it was stated that the other semi-finalists of the Women’s Premier Cup, which includes Nepal and Thailand, will also be coming to add more twist to the mode of the tournament.
